I don’t know about you, but things are so busy around here that the days are just getting away from me. I worked this weekend and I also attended a baby shower for my friend Nellie from high school. It was more of a family party than an all women baby shower. My sister-in-law and Nellie are cousins, so our families are super connected. It was fun to see everybody; I hung around with my nephew most of the time He’s my little buddy. He loves to draw and he drew me this:
Nothing is really new with eating and weight loss. I’ve continued to eat Paleo and didn’t stray at the work potluck. As it turns out, I wasn’t even too tempted because the food came around 1:30 and I usually eat around 12:00. It was like any other normal day.
My weight stayed the same as last week, still hanging right at 224. I didn’t do anything different and I feel pretty good about the way I’ve been eating and working out, so I’m not disappointed. I think I have to keep reminding myself that I’m just not going to have a quick weight loss. I’m not going to be a two-pound a week loser. I’m fine with that. I like the way my clothes are getting looser, and even though I’m losing slowly, I’m doing it my way.
One thing I did struggle with last week was drinking water. I think because the temps are a little cooler around here, it just wasn’t a priority. Today I made chugging a priority and I feel ten times better already!
I’m settling into a bit of a new workout groove. I’ve started using the the gym at my work to do my cardio and bootcamp interval routines before work. After work, I do my walk outside and/ or my strength training from bootcamp. This week we start Phase three in Tina’s Best Body Bootcamp, and although I know it’s best to change-up the workouts, I really loved the ladder workouts. I’m still using the modifications for a few of the exercises, but I can tell I’m getting stronger!! I can’t believe it’s now week 5 of Best Body Bootcamp. It’s been fun and challenging, and the time is going by so fast!!
Sooooo, Thanksgiving this week! I’ll be working early in the day, and then hanging out with the fam and of course, eating. I don’t think I’ll go too nuts with the food, but I just might indulge in a peice of pumpkin pie with whipped cream. Don’t think I won’t. Then I may just start another Whole30 afterward!
